The School’s History

Established in 2012, Rev. Dr. Neiliezhü Üsou Memorial School (RDNUMS) is a family run school established in memory of Lt. Rev. Dr. Neiliezhü Üsou, an Ordained Minister of God. RDNUMS is a dream project turning into reality of Lt. Rev. Dr. who dreamt of establishing a school during his lifetime for the future generation and to bring about a change in the educational system befitting for the upcoming generation.

Beersheba School was the name given by Lt. Rev. Dr. and under this name a permission order was issued by the Directorate of School Education vide Order NO/ED/SED/B/24/82-83 dated 25-01-1983. In continuation to this order, the school name was renewed and allowed to run as Rev. Dr. Neiliezhü Üsou Memorial School in 2011 bearing Order No ED/DEV/C/2/2010-2011 (Pt) dated 24th Nov 2011. The school was established on 30th January 2012 at Old Ministers’ Hill, Kohima with the first batch of students joining on March 2012. Partial modification was made bearing Order No ED/PLN/E-17/2017.

RDNUMS was officially inaugurated on 27th July 2013 by the Chief Minister of Nagaland, Shri Neiphiu Rio and this day is marked as RDNUMS Day.
