Azhanyü Üsou was the youngest of the seven siblings of Late Rev Dr. Neiliezhü Üsou. He did his Radio Production and Music Business at Point Blank Music School, London, UK. He was an accomplished musician and performing artist involved in music recordings and compositions. In January 2010, Azha released his debut album “Last serenade” to critical acclaim.
Last Serenade is a compilation album of Post-Goth, Melodic Death, and Classical Avangate.
He was the founder and frontman of one of the best-known metal bands in North East India – Black Rose. Apart from achieving personal fame like winning the best Rhythm Guitarist Award at North East Beat Contest (Aizawl, Mizoram 2006), Azha toured and performed extensively leading his band to notable successes – winner of the Hornbill Music Festival 2005, 2nd runners–position in the Hornbill National Rock Contest 2012.
He was a member of his family band Usous’ Instrumental Praise as bassist/drummer and Production Manager of Ameü Üsou Zao & the Choir. He was one of the proprietors of Black Rose Euphony Music Store, Rev Dr. Neiliezhü Üsou Memorial School, School of Music Kohima; Secretary of Rev Dr. Neiliezhü Üsou Memorial Society, faculty member of Nagaland College of Music and Fine Arts; member of Ura Academy, Radio Committee and Radio Station, Kohima.
